Step 1: Wrap

Take a thin strip of paper, string, or floss and wrap it snugly around the base of your finger. It should sit comfortably—not too tight or too loose.

Step 2: Mark

Mark the point where the paper or string overlaps. Then lay it flat against a ruler and measure the length in millimetres (mm).
